The nationwide COVID-19 vaccine program is ongoing in Bangladesh. As pregnant and lactating women are the vulnerable individuals so the question has been raised whether they will have the vaccine or not. National Immunization Technical Advisory Group of Bangladesh recommends COVID vaccine to pregnant and lactating mothers (1).
Based on limited data, advisory committees from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) have issued guidance indicating that COVID-19 vaccines should not be withheld from pregnant persons (2).
